Frequently Asked Questions
Do you need to use this site to install Plugins?
No. This site leverages xpb under the hood that you can run directly in your terminal. Check out the Using the Builder page in our docs to get started. Is it Open Source?
Yes. The xpb project is 100% open source under the MIT license. We also released all our plugins this way as well. This site itself is technically not open source, but you do not need to use it in order to manage plugins (see question #1 above). How do I make a Plugin?
Check out the Creating a Plugin page in our documentation. If you need more help or clarification, please open an issue. Can I use my own or third-pary Plugins?
Of course, we hope you do! See #3 above for help making a Plugin. Can I list my own Plugins on this site?
Possibly, but we'd want to vet the code first and retain control of the repo for security reasons (email us at help@pocketbuilds.com). In the future we'd like to open up community plugins at a platform level with appropriate disclaimers. Can I use a custom extended PocketBase instead of a standard release?
Yes, locally you can using xpb directly. In the future we'd like this site to allow that as well, but unfortunately is not available for the time being.Do you offer any warranties?
Absolutey not. Use this project, associated plugins, and the building service provided by this site at your own risk. We released this in hopes some people may find it helpful (that might not be you) and we make zero guarantees about its security, stability, or interactions with your data and users.
